Don’t just assume you and your client/patient are talking the same language! Pacing is a part of rehabilitation, rather than a strategy for living with pain – although paced activity can help a person achieve medium-term goals, and the principle of ‘do no more on a good day, and no less on a bad day’ is a life-long strategy that can help people maintain preferred activities.
